Top 50 Villains: 50-41

WARNING: This list may not be for the faint of heart, as it deals mostly with bad people!... I spent time carefully analyzing each of these characters and what makes them so memorable... In no way do I condone their actions, yet merely admire their performances!!! okay, enough yap,...

50. Captain Barbossa

Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean
Year: 2003
Actor: Geoffrey Rush
Why: After leading a mutiny on Jack Sparrow, this captain of the Black Pearl becomes a cursed-man without a soul... He sets off with his crew to bring an end to the curse, killing anyone who gets in his way.
Key Line: "You better start believing in ghost stories, Miss Turner. You're in one!"





49. Colonel Stryker

Movie: X2: X-Men United
Year: 2003
Actor: Brian Cox

Why: He is an obsessed military scientist on a mission to rid the world of mutants. He develops a complex plan of framing the X-men, infiltrating their Mansion, and using Charles Xavier to kill every mutant with his mind power. Stryker even goes as far as using his own son as an experiment and the key to controlling Professor X.

Key Line: "No Charles, my son is dead... Just like the rest of you!"



48. Marcellus Wallace

Movie: Pulp Fiction
Year: 1994
Actor: Ving Rhames

Why: This bad-ass gang-boss of L.A has it all... the money, the girl, and the respect... Then he gets captured and raped by a twisted redneck police officer, who has no idea who he just messed with... One can only imagine the things Marcellus did to Zed...

Key Line: "What now? Let me tell you what now. I'ma call a coupla hard, pipe-hittin' niggers, who'll go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talkin', hillbilly boy? I aint through with you by a damn sight! I'ma get medieval on your ass!"


47. Crowned Prince Leopold

Movie: The Illusionist
Year: 2006
Actor: Rufus Sewell

Why: The Crowned Prince Leopold is a ruthless man on the verge of overthrowing his father, yet is distracted by the growing fame of the magician, "Eisenheim". He is known for hot temper, beating his wives, and killing any who oppose him. In the end he becomes the victim of the ultimate illusion.

Key Line: "I need men who can finish the task that I appoint to them!"


46. Terry Benedict

Movie: Ocean's Eleven
Year: 2001
Actor: Andy Garcia

Why: Terry Benedict is suave, millionaire, sophisticated villain whose biggest downfall is his greed and pride... This owner of three casinos, has some obvious mafia ties and muscle in the city of Las Vegas. After he is robbed in the first movie, he goes on a hunting spree to find and threaten each person associated with Danny Ocean. In the end of the series Benedict's greed gets the better of him.

Key Line: "All right, you proved your point. You broke into my vault. Congratulations, you're a dead man!"



45. Jadis the White Witch

Movie: Chronicles of Narnia
Year: 2005
Actress: Tilda Swinton

Why: What kind of sick demented person would freeze a world of peaceful, happy, talking creatures? The White Witch, thats who! She comes off as a sweet lady, offering Turkish Delight, then reveals her true self as a total bitch without a heart. She is the master of all dark creatures in Narnia. Even the great Aslan is momentarily crushed by her power...

Key Line: "The Great Cat is Dead!!!"



44. Percy Whitmore

Movie: The Green Mile
Year: 1999
Actor: Doug Hitchison

Why: This sick, twisted, little rich boy, gets a thrill out of working as an execution guard. He not only is a total man-child, yet he kills Frenchie's mouse, and takes things even further when he executes him without a sponge...

Key Line: "There is no such place. It's just a fairytale these guys told you to keep quiet. Just thought you should know, Faggot!"





43. Vincent Vega

Movie: Pulp Fiction
Year: 1994
Actor: John Travolta

Why: Vincent Vega is a hit-man who doesn't take shit from nobody! Although he may not be the brightest crayon in the box, he still has a very smooth style about him. Whether he's arguing with Jules, disrespecting "The Wolf", or accidentally shooting a man in the head, he makes for a pretty awesome villain. He also has quite the dance moves...

Key Line: "That's a pretty fucking good milkshake... I don't know if it's worth five bucks, but its pretty fucking good."



42. Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom

Movie: Con-Air
Year: 1997
Actor: John Malkovich

Why: He is a psychotic yet brilliant convict, who hijacks a plane of prisoners and kills any who gets in his way... He uses his fellow jail-bates as pawns, in his master plan to escape...

Key Line:
"Before I kill you Poe, I just want you to know the last thing that little Cameron Poe ever gets to smell will be my stinking breath."



41. Darth Maul

Movie: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
Year: 1999
Actor: Ray Park, Peter Serafinowicz

Why: He has an evil demonic resemblance, with his red and black tattoos, horns, and black hooded robe... Yet it's his dual-light saber, awesome fight skills, and mysterious character that makes Darth Maul one of the coolest villains. Although he kills Qui-Gon Jinn, it does not take away from his sheer awesomeness! He says maybe 3 lines in the entire movie!

Key Line: "At last the Jedi will be extinct."
