Wyoming Airport

Wow this is the coolest airport ever... it's so small, that i got to pull my rental right up to the front of the building... and it gets free WiFi!! plane should be boarding in about 20 minutes... anyway, the game went pretty well, and i pretty much did all the set up... Kealy was his usual annoying self, but hopefully that was the last game I'll work with him... Next week I'll be in Purdon't, so that should be fun! going home to the FW, for a few days, to kick back and take it easy!

I gotta say about the debate, Obama looked very presidential, and much more poised than McCain did... Throughout the debate, it was obvious that McCain was annoyed, and his constant snickering was really starting to piss me off! Both candidates stuck well with their issues, and there wasn't a clear victor in this debate... Obama could of pressed harder on the economic issues I thought, but he still put forth a strong plan! One thing I thought he could do less of is say "McCain is Right"... I noticed he said that way too much, and could just see the Republican Campaigners jumping on that... Nonetheless though I'd say an overall win for Obama for passion and poise!

David Blaine Dissappointment!

I've always been a big fan of David Blaine, the street magician/endurance artist, yet after today's "Dive of Death" stunt I'm beginning to question his magic! I watched the ABC special tonight for 2 hours, with high anticipation of the climax, when he was suppose to dive 44 feet. Into what?, they never made clear, but I assumed it would be water... Sure it was impressive that he'd been hanging upside down for 60 hours, but still we're talking national prime television here... show me something amazing! I defended him, when he blew it 2 years ago in the Water Breath Holding stunt, but this is too much... The stunt ended by him jumping from a bungee chord, and then "floating away"?? The commentator spiced it up of course, saying "Blaine had just disappeared", but there was nothing to be seen... if anything floated away it was the cameras which cut to some other shot, and then rolled the credits. I couldn't believe I waited 2 hours for that! There was no spectacular dive of death, like they had hyped up... It was just a big hoax! Shame on you ABC and especially shame on you David Blaine for waisting my time! the Central Park audience didn't seem too happy either. It'll be interesting to read opinions about this tomorrow!

Bye Bye Matt Millen

Wow, the Lions finally got rid of Matt Millen, possibly the worst GM in the history of the NFL... This is a happy day to be a Lions fan, who has watched the franchise as a kid since the glory days of Barry Sanders, Herman Moore, and Johnnie Morton... I remember there was once a time in grade school when I was proud to be a Lions fan! In those days we would actually compete for the playoffs... Thanksgiving games were actually close! and of course there was Barry Sanders, my idol, and favorite football player of all time! I would imitate him as much as I could on recess... Then he suddenly quit, and in came Matt Millen... so marked the sudden decline of my team!

Ever since the start of this millennium, the Lions have undoubtedly been the worse team in football... No thanks of course to the poor unexperienced managing of Matt Millen... He has made the worst draft decisions in the past 6 years, with busts on Joey Harrington, Charles Rogers, and Mike Williams... There has been an overall losing attitude in the locker-rooms, and I think that reflects poorly on the management who writes the paychecks! Now that Millen is gone, there will definitely be a new approach to things in Detroit! Will this change our failing season of 0-3, probably not right away, but at least there is hope in the horizon!!

Random Notes

ah another boring day... I need to find more to do during the weekdays...

Wow I can't believe how bad this economy has been crashing lately... first a 500 point drop on Monday, the worse since September 2001, and now it continues to drop today! If this keeps up we might be entering another Depression!

Saw Little miss Sunshine the other day for the first time, and it was quite amusing... I plan on watching it again today..

I've been listening to lots of Pink Floyd lately in honor of Richard Wright who just passed away... Their music always seems to relax me!

Travel back to Salt Lake City tomorrow... This will be my third time in SLC this month... crazy! It's an amazing city, submerged in a valley! yet I'm Definitely not looking forward to working with Kealy again...

IMDB.com is now my official go-to-place for movie research... I have grown frustrated with Yahoo Movies...

Bad Times in Texas

Damn I'm having bad luck with finances lately... I've gone overdrawn twice now in the last 2 weeks, and things keep getting worse... My first paycheck is pretty much a goner! To top things off with I'm stuck in Texas right now... There is no place I wouldn't rather be, than in Texas. not only because it is the most conservative state in the country (like yesterday for example when all anyone around here could talk about was 9/11)... but because a massive hurricane is about to strike the coast of Houston... Luckily I'm north in Ft. Worth, and won't feel any of the major effects of Hurricane Ike, yet still the storm is expected to be pretty bad tomorrow for the TCU game. I know my plane on Sunday will most likely get delayed, and I may not be able to leave until late evening or perhaps the next day. To top things off with, I cannot stand the guy I work with. His name is Tim Kealy, and he is a total ass for no good reason. What's sad is he is an ass, without even trying to be ass, and sometimes I don't even think he knows it... Everyone else warned me about him, and boy were they right... I need to get out of here ASAP!!!

MNF, Politics, Music, and Movies

i've had a High Day!! Went for a Run... and Really dug deep into the Music... the whole day I've spent appreciating my music collection, organizing it, and determining which bands and songs are my favorite of all time. I've also been watching Monday Night Football. It Takes me back to good memories... I Love NFL, and i hope my Fantasy Team can win this week. Its looking possible after an up and down week. Who Knows! I watched Olbermann interview Obama tonight. I really hope Obama can regain a bounce in the polls. McCain has been hot in the polls lately, thanks to their successful convention, and aquistion of celebrity Sara Palin. She's all over the news these days, and has turned out to be a genius decision by the Republican party. It aggravates me! Well now I'm going to clear my mind and get into some movies. I rented a few classics from the Library tonight. We'll see how they go.

Hello Blogger...

Ok giving this a try... There are many subjects I enjoy to read or write about... As of now they mostly concern politics... I am an avid follower of this years election. Following the end of the Olympics, I have became an obsessed news junkie... I am a supporter of Obama and the Democratic Party, and have been carefully following their campaign for the past few months now... I hope that he becomes the future president who will bring change to this country....

But other subjects that spark my interest include History, Movies, Music, Sports, Art, Philosophy, Culture, and Conspiracy Theories... (there are many more) I go through phases, and right now my current obsession is with Politics... Mainly because of the ongoing election... My goal of using this Blog is to post opinions and read other opinions, and perhaps gain a better understanding of things...

so here Goes... The Green Eagle Shall take Flight!!
